Three charged after animal rights protests
Three people charged with offences under Sections 145 and 146 of the Serious and Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 arising from animal rights protest activity have appeared at Kingston Magistrates' Court.
Following a co-ordinated investigation between Cheshire and Cambridgeshire Constabularies, the Metropolitan, Humberside, Thames Valley, Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire Police, three people were charged at Chiswick Police Station with offences under Sections 145 and 146 of the Serious and Organised Crime and Police Act 2005 arising from animal rights protest activity.
Suzanne Cunnane and Mark Taylor, both from Wakefield, and Theresa Joan Portwine from Croydon, were each charged with conspiracy offences under Section 145 of the Act. In addition they were each charged with conspiracy offences under Section 146 of the Act relating to demonstrations at thirteen premises.
All three appeared at Kingston Magistrates' Court on 28 February 2006. They were remanded on bail to appear at Kingston Crown Court on Monday 13 March 2006. They have conditions on their bail which include preventing them from attending animal rights demonstrations.

Notice these bail conditions above!
Do we need any more evidance of the police trying to stop legal demonstrators from protesting?

Disgusted!

I am so proud that they have stood up for what they believe in. I admire them greatly, you couldnt ask for better people crying out for those with no voice. Brave people punished for their compassion towards animals, DISGRACEFUL!
