The Unrest in France Blog understand that a general strike is being organised for next week:

“If they don‘t listen to us we are going to have to think about moving to a general strike across the whole country,” said Bernard Thibault, head of the Confederation of General Workers union, one of France‘s largest… “I‘m optimistic … that the government will finally take notice of the situation they‘ve created for themselves,” he said on France 3 television

The same struggle

18.03.2006 12:21

Of course some demonstrations will have a different focus. We have different editorial headlines in papers every day. Does that mean the editors of these papers have forgotten about or no longer agree with yesterday's news as they saw it?

I had a pasty for lunch yesterday. Don't take that to mean that I've stopped eating sandwiches.
