To my eyes, the picture suggests three people in a big gov limmo and one person in the water. I did not first see the colour/race of any of these people.

I saw the difference in means. The US gov (just like many other gov's), cares only for it's own interests, as do many individuals.

Until we all start putting the needs of others first, others will suffer. I will say that again, just to get it into my own head.

I don't wish to appear to be bigheaded but I'm going out to put this into practice now as it just might work, I hope it is contagious...

This was added to the debate although some time (two weeks? ) since the last posting.

I put 'Have I found the answer?' up as an posting as I felt that for me it was a very clear way of looking at my own life, helping my find a code of conduct that I could apply to everything I do as a human rights and environmental activist.

It felt like a revalation to me which I wanted to share with others. It went up on Oxford indymedia for a short while. Long enough to attract at least one response before magically (and somewhat depressingly) dissapearing. I have written twice since then. Once the new posting appeared quickly only to be taken off again the next day.

How many other postings do we not see on this sopposedly open medium?

There was nothing offensive in the posting. What gives some people the right to censor others in this way?
