Like his conservative predecessors before him, who looked to England for an ideology and identity, Howard looks to the US for guidance and direction. The mass-murdoch press may be one place to look, but only one of many.
More people in Australia should look at Indymedia and read Ad-busters and take back the media we need to focus and come to terms with our own culture and history. As my IMC server is down in Australia at the moment I've found myself looking at UK and different US indies.
