Disappeared in Colombia

Recently five people from a peace community in Columbia have been "disappeared". Activists are calling on the international community to help in the ways described below

PLEASE WRITE TO THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE IN ENGLISH OR
SPANISH.
TO THE COLOMBIAN GOVERNMENT and ask them:
1. to ask the paramilitary organisations present in
negotiations with the government in San Ralito, if
they are responsible or not for the kidnapping of
Monica Suarez, Fabio Ariza, Johana Lopez, Enrique
Chimonja, Edwin Mosquera.
2. to abstain from carrying out military operations in
the area of Jiguamiando and Curvarado that would put
at risk the lives Monica, Fabio, Johanna, Chimonja,
and Edwin.
3. TO RESPECT THE RIGHTS OF MEMBERS OF THE
AFRO-COLOMBIAN POPULATION IN THE HUMANITARIAN ZONES OF
BELLA FLOR REMACHO, PUEBLO NUEVO AND NUEVA ESPERANZA.
NOT TO MILITARIZE THESE PEACE ZONES.
4. PLEASE ASK THE GOVERNMENT WHAT ARE THEY DOING
ABOUT PARAMILITARY ACTIVITY IN THE AREA OF
JIGUAMIANDO AND CURVARADO.
5. THAT THE GOVERNMENT SUSPEND IMMEDIATELY THE CUTTING
DOWN OF VIRGIN RAINFOREST IN COLLECTIVE TERRITORY OF
THE INDIGENOUS AFRO-COLOMBIAN POPULATION. AND TO STOP
THE ILLEGAL PLANTING OF AFRICAN PALM.

TO THE INTERNATIONAL RED CROSS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THEIR MANDATE TO ESTABLISH WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
THIS ATTACK ON JUSTICE AND PEACE.
