If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.

From Netherlands- A judge in Peru may call CIA chiefs to testify in the case against Peruvian spymaster Vladimiro Montesinos- under Fujimori, Vlad worked for the US financed war on drugs while simultaneously being the boss of the cocaine production in Peru. Then a press review on the possible return of the UN to sort things out in Iraq, as requested by the US.
From Russia- Iraq’s majority Shiites took to the streets this week demanding free elections. 11 Afghan civilians were the victims of a mis-targeted American bombing. Then a commentary on the question of America’s ascendence to Empire. As Israel is being taken to the International Court for building its infamous wall, Ariel Sharon is rethinking parts of the project. After 18 years in jail, an Israeli who exposed his country’s nuclear weapons, is about to be released.
From Spain- A series of stories from the World Economic Forum in Davos Switzerland- Iran says it never sought to acquire weapons of mass destruction- the British Foreign Secretary is not opposed to the free elections Shiites in Iraq are demanding- lots of police are ready for demostrators in Davos- at the forum there were several critiques of Bush’s State of the Union address- of all Latin American countries, only Ecuador’s President will attend the forum.
From China- Lebanon has asked the UN to continue its peacekeeping mission along the border with Israel. Japanese troops have entered Iraq, the first such deployment since WWII. Japan’s ruling party plans to keep visiting a war shrine, which China sees as honoring war criminals.
From Cuba- The World Social Forum concluded Wednesday in Bombay, calling for a day of international protest on March 20th, the anniversary of the invasion of Iraq. Meanwhile the World Economic Forum in Davos began, and was labeled a “threat to democracy” and a “means for Big Business to protect its interests at the expense of people and the environment.”
