Also check out LavaLamp Radio (Japan)-

streaming the SWR, check out the schedule.
And the Partytown streams are great and informative-

This week's show features stories from Radio Netherlands, Spanish National Radio, the Voice of Russia, and Radio Havana Cuba.
From Netherlands- US Homeland Security has convinced many reluctant European air carriers to place an armed guard aboard flights to the US. An Israeli soldier has been arrested for shooting a British activist last April. Israel is going to increase the number of settlers in the Golan Heights by 5000- this controversial move is analyzed by a writer from the Jerusalem Post. Tony Blair is coming under increasing pressure to admit he exagerrated the danger of WMDs in Iraq- how this will affect his political career is discussed.
From Spain- The constitutional conference in Afghanistan is slowly moving forward. 4 letter-bombs were sent from Italy to crime-fighting leaders of the European Union. The United Nations has chosen to dedicate 2004 to abolishing the modern forms of slavery. A conservative businessman was elected president of Guatemala. Deadly skirmishes have broken out between the military and rebels on the borders of Venezvuala and Colombia. Paramilitaries have attacked villages in Northern Colombia, and we just past the 10th anniversary of the Zapatista uprising in Chiapas Mexico.
From Russia- The Euro currency continues to climb in value against a shrinking US dollar. The International Atomic Energy Agency has turned down a US offer to help search Libya for evidence of nuclear weapons. Right after Saddam's apparent capture in Iraq, a famous French lawyer volunteered to defend him- for rather interesting reasons. Then a commentary on the possibilities of change in the Middle East following Libya and Iran's openess to international inspections, especially if Israel joins in the disclosures.
From Cuba- The shooting of several Israeli peace activists by Israeli soldiers this week has put a light on responses usually reserved for Palestinians and foreign activists. The mad cow events in the US revealed how the beef industry has influenced congressional voting on health and safety issues.
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt!
