The latest Shortwave Report (December 26) is up at the website http://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality (13.0MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.1MB) (28:30) It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
This program will be aired on Friday evening at 7pm on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via http://www.kzyx.org
There are several other streams that work better- http://www.freakradio.org Freak Radio Santa Cruz (96.3fm) now streams this program on Friday at 9:30am (PST)
Also check out LavaLamp Radio (Japan)- http://www.radiolavalamp.org
streaming the SWR, check out the schedule.
And the Partytown streams are great and informative- http://www.partytown.com/radio
This week's show features stories from Radio Netherlands, Spanish National Radio, the Voice of Russia, China Radio International, and Radio Havana Cuba.
From Netherlands- Libyan leader Khadafy suprised many by saying he would cease all development of weapons of mass destruction, then encouraging neighbors, including Israel to to join his action. 13 soldiers from Israel's top commando unit have refused to serve in occupied Palestinian territory, subjecting themselves to possible court martials.
From Spain- Israel launched a deadly attack on a Palestinian refugee camp on the Gaza Strip Tuesday. Then a Press Review on Iraq, the Middle East, and Libya. US beef is being banned by several large importers, though the EU doesn't need to since US beef is already banned because of growth hormones. Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez met to discuss working together on medical care and alternative energy.
From Russia- Hans Blix reasserted that Saddam got rid of all WMD in 1993. Russia has new truck mounted ICBMs they say can render the US Star Wars plan useless.
From China- The Egyptian President has been trying to further the peace plan with Israel's Sharon. The Israeli Defense Minister discussed a plan to attack Iran's nuclear capabilities and taken Iran as his number one enemy- Iran returned a threat if they are attacked.
From Cuba- A Viewpoint on Argentina's refusal to make its citizens suffer in order to make payments to the IMF. Then a report about the new plan in Chile to bring Pinochet to trial for human rights violations, following a TV appearance by the General, where he was clearly in good health and of sound mind.
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt!

-- Imbalances in the mainstream media generate a further social danger. Those who don't have access to alternative sources of information have little chance of understanding the arguments of those who do. One result is that the concerns of radicals are widely dismissed as irrational, and their campaigns for a better world are marginalised and even criminalised. This, in turn, leads to political closure: the prohibition of challenges to power.
