A demo so large the end of it arrives hours after the start in the dark
Lots of sections of demo were marching and dancing behind bands or sound systems
An British contingent, CND and Globilise Resistance march together
Solidarity with sans and intermitants, stopped outside the opera
The bonus of bringing the sound system with you - the party at the end
The front of the march was taken by supporters of the intermitants - occasional workers such as actors, and seasonal employees, some of whome are on stike, over changes that to benifits that will make their lives unaffordable. The stopped the demonstation outside the opera.
It seems there was a disagreement with the Socialist Party (the mainstream French party that was running the country). This lead to them asking to leave the demonstration. Full details when there are clear...
The demonstation was a very diverse one, with environmental groups, anti-war groups, left groups... The most vocal and common demands of the demonstation came in solidarity with the sans and the intermitants.
