Worldwide Activism
Just over a week until the International Day Against the Wall, November
9th!
The list of worldwide activities for the International Day Against the
Wall is growing on a daily basis, generating increased awareness and
mobilization in solidarity with the continued Palestinian people’s
resistance against the Apartheid Wall along with the numerous planned
activities in Palestine for November 9th. Over 30 demonstrations and
activities will be taking place during this day in various European cities,
in North America, as well as in South Africa, Australia, Jordan,
Bangladesh and Brazil. While groups worldwide will be holding actions on
November 9th, several networks are marking November 9th as the beginning of
a series of events for solidarity against the Wall.

As events and demonstrations to mark November 9th multiply, the
Anti-Apartheid Campaign is working to provide groups with a range of activist
materials such as T-Shirt designs, posters, petitions, PowerPoint
presentations, and downloadable fact sheets about the Apartheid Wall. Check

The online petition of solidarity for November 9th has now reached
nearly 4,200 signatures with hundreds of people signing on daily. Sign the

Latest News
The Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign’s three Emergency Centers in the
northern West Bank continually send in information regarding destruction
and devastation from the Wall. Information sent from the Emergency
Centers will be published regularly under the heading “A Day in the
Northâ€, surfacing the daily devastation which the Apartheid Wall continues

Also in the last week there has been much attention given to the
publicly released Israeli military map of the Wall. The Anti-Apartheid
Campaign published this map, taken from the Palestinian daily press Al Quds
newspaper, in an article that addresses it within the context of the
Occupation’s attempts at not providing information on the Wall prior to
what happens in the communities in experiencing the devastation. Read

Analysis/Features
This week the Anti-Apartheid Wall Campaign featured “The Wall of the
Olives†by Ahmad Sub Laban from the Palestine Report, revealing the
denial of residents in Rafat, north Jerusalem, to harvest their
olives--their main sustenance and heritage—because of the Apartheid Wall.
Also featured is a significant article from Al Jazeera by Laila
El-Haddad which brings forth the utter destruction of Rafah in the Gaza Strip
for the “Iron Wall†at the Egyptian boarder. See the
