While Mumia Abu-Jamal was named an Honorary Citizen of Paris on saturday 4th October, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has denied his appeal on technical ground of expiration of time limitations, not on any substantive issues.
Meanwhile Mumia's appeal before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has just been turned down on every count--including the request for Judge Castille to recuse himself from all proceedings relating to Mumia's case. The appeal was rejected on the technical ground of expiration of time limitations, not on any substantive issues. It should noted that the members of this Court are elected, & nearly all have been endorsed by the FOP.

American racist judiciary. I am neither a believer or a non-believer. I just happened to notice that Amnesty International, Nelson Mandela, the European Parliament, several European Gov'ments and activists througout the world are convinced through the facts they have learned, that he did not receive a fair trial. That's what we're demanding: a fair trial. If he's guilty, he'll be convicted, have no fear.
By the way: he was not convicted by a jury of his peers. He was convicted by a jury which was almost entirely white, he had no funds for his defence, he wasn't allowed to defend himself, the jury wasn't presented all the evidence and a lot of new facts have come up. The question is not whether innocent people in the US get convicted to death. We all know that happens. The question is not 'should Mumia be executed', everybody with a sane mind objects to capital punishment. The question is: did he get a fair trial. The answer is: no. So let's give him one.
