the independent newspaper is surely having a larff! their short film report on the crude awakening protest yesterday is preceded by an announcement from their sponsors, exoonmobil. you couldn't make it up.
the independent newspaper online, has a short film report on yesterday's blockade of coryton oil refinery.
unfortunately, the advert they're showing before it is one for exoonmobil, in which an actress tells us how wonderful exxonmobil are for building two new ports to bring gas "securely" into the uk, without all the need for those troublesome pipelines, that inevitably lead to war. well, actually she doesn't exactly say that, but you get the idea.
"crude awakening, sponsored by mobilexxon" - i'm lovin' it.
