European Parliament sets up temporary committee on climate change

The committee will have 60 Members spread across the political groups and the GUE/NGL group will be given three full seats.
Swedish GUE/NGL MEP Jens Holm and member of the Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety expressed his satisfaction with the decision:
"I am very pleased that the European Parliament takes climate change seriously. In particular, I think an important task will be to communicate with third countries and international organisations in order to find global solutions to this urgent problem"
