Attacks have risen significantly in the last year but Kabul has seen little of them due to the tight security around the city. This makes it even more significant that these attacks happened. The elections as predicted have brought more violence and there will be a lot more to come. An early cold winter is the best chance to limit this. The parliament has been finalized which means a lot of upset people and the majority of the parliament majadeen and illiterate. Another American success story.

Information: Today at approximately 1500h, a VBIED detonated at the front of the JEMB compound Jalalabad – Kabul Road, Kabul City. No reports have been received regarding casualties. Investigation is on-going. The area has been cordoned by Security forces and the road is currently blocked

Due to events which have occurred today on Jalalabad Road Kabul, ANSO Central strongly advices the Aid Community to avoid movements in District 9 and the areas pertaining to Jalalabad – Kabul Road. Due to two further explosions nearby, ANSO Central also advices the Aid community to avoid the Bagram - Jalalabad Road and to restrict movements till further notice.
