Colombia and Human Rights Defenders
Colombia's conflict is Latin America's longest, and
civilians find themselves increasingly in the firing
line. Peace Brigades International (PBI) accompanies
human rights defenders and rural "peace communities"
in Colombia, where many face death threats or attacks
for their work. Come and hear how PBI works, and find
out about the rural communities who are trying to opt
out of the cycle of violence, and risk paying with
their lives. Returned PBI volunteer June Holmes will
be talking about her experiences and taking questions.
