Egg on Sheriff's face (literally) as Blackwood evictions continue

One witness said that there were around 50 bailiffs and police, all included.
At Camp Tree, however, a group of activists had climbed trees, prepared lock-ons etc and managed to resist eviction for several hours. After the eviction, the trees in this area were also completely trashed.
I don't have exact information on numbers of arrests, but I'd guess there were 3-8 arrests for breach of the peace, who were then released without charge, plus one arrest for [allegedly] throwing an egg at the High Sherriff :)
The [alleged] egg-thrower has been charged with section 4 of the public order act (threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour/fear of violence) and is in Blackwood Magistrates court next Tuesday (30th March) at 10:45. Any support would be welcome.
Protesters are still camped on the land bordering Costain's (near Camp Kerry). Some people are packing up and leaving, but others are vowing to continue disrupting work and resisting the bypass.
