- Iraqi military spokesman confirms that the Iraqi army shot down 5 fighters and 2 hellicopters. He also asserted that Iraqi soldiers are defending Najaf, Karbala, and Al-Nasiryah against the American agression. Fierce fighting is still on in Umm Qasr, resulting in 3 american and 2 British dead.
- Al-Sahaf says that 77 were killed and 300 injured in the coalition agreession raids on Basra. He also says that the coalition troops civilian targets out of desperation and hysteria.
