- Iraqi military spokesman confirms that the Iraqi army shot down 5 fighters and 2 hellicopters. He also asserted that Iraqi soldiers are defending Najaf, Karbala, and Al-Nasiryah against the American agression. Fierce fighting is still on in Umm Qasr, resulting in 3 american and 2 British dead.
- Al-Sahaf says that 77 were killed and 300 injured in the coalition agreession raids on Basra. He also says that the coalition troops civilian targets out of desperation and hysteria.
- American army says a British fighter was shot down by an american patriot.
- Naji Sabri, the Iraqi Minister of Foreign Affairs, denies the surrender of the Commander of the 51 legione, defending Basra. He also said that Iraqis are ready to defend Iraq for the next 13 years.

Russian military intelligence reports

A lot of people are claiming that the Russian Military Intelligence Agency, the GRU, is one of the few sources of
relatively impartial news on the "Aggression On Iraq"..
Not surprisingly, the GRU reports which apparently come from communications interceptions, are all in Russian, but the guy at the site below claims to be translating them into English on a daily basis:
