After being offline for over a year, radio.indymedia.org is back online. For a variety of technical problems the amazing resourse that was IMC-RADIO was gone from us, which meant that people all over the world could no longer publish their audio, access and listen to old audio, click on the site to get quickly directed to audio nodes and news from all over our little planet. For those audio geeks it was a big big loss. But now, it's back:

When Mexican paramilitary forces shot Brad Will in the chest, killing him, his camera fell from his hands. But it didn't stop recording. It continued moving from hand to hand. Brad's camera paints us a picture of what his life was about, and what so many of his friends continue to struggle for.

We are history - a call to mobilization for november 17th 2007
It's been years we have asked everybody to take responsibility as
collectively as possible for what the mobilizations against G8 in Genoa
were.
The arrogance of Genoa prosecutors during the final speech of their
accusation in the court case against 25 protestors accused of devastation
and sacking seems to have eventually aroused the hearts and brains of
300000 people that in Genoa opposed themselves to the politics of the G8

this is regarding the serious lack of hemp in the environmental movement. although it would also help just about every other grassroots movement. i would have thought that being alternative media, there'd be something on hemp. i was especially surprised by the sister site
http://climateimc.org/ which throws up 1 article in a search for "hemp". a search on greenpeace is similarly depressing. www.foe.co.uk is a little better. it seems there's more in the mainstream. eg. www.theecologist.org

Offering something of a break in tradition, the noborders/rampART benefit party after the anarchist book fair is an alternative to hanging out in the pub. Open from 6pm it's a chance to hang out with friends while supporting grassroots campaigns and a rare opportunity to listen to conscious hip-hop and rap with acts from the USA, Greece, Scarborough, Manchester, Bristol and London.
