Saturday 24th saw yet another Stop The War Collalition march in London, this time under the banner 'Peace and Liberty'. Rather than ask people yet again about their opposition against the ongoing occupation of Iraq, we sought out people to express a wider analysis of the global war of capital against people. The interviews are available to download or you can tune in to rampART radio and try you luck.

rampART radio is an internet radio station which was orginally set up to provide independent coverage during the London European Social Forum held in October 2004. When the ESF finished rampART struggled on putting out daily news and events listings, along with some of the best revolutionary tunes and parodies you are likely to come across anywhere on the net. Over the last year the station has had it's share of up's and downs, including a month of down time when we lost our ADSL internet connection after the post office decided not to deliver any more post (including our phone bill). During the G8 in July, rampART radio provided 5 days of live up-to-the-minute coverage and enjoyed it's highest ever audiences as the stream was rebroadcast around the world. rampART radio also played a role in covering the protests against DSEi and even the London bombings after the G8.
Now, almost one year since it was created, I propose to kill rampART radio.
Ok, not exactly kill but certainly a rebirth in a very different form.

Media mafia boss Rupert Murdog claimed, in a speech made in New York,
that the BBC's coverage of Hurricane Katrina was full of hate for America.
Evidently Americans consider his SKY NEWS channel, sister of FOX News to be a far more serious prosepct. It seems that the broad sheet daliy's style of reporting doesn't go down well with the Tabloid Tossers.

London based freelance journalist and film maker with an assignment to cover the G8 summit in Scotland has been refused press accrediation after vetting by police. No reason or justification has been given for the refusal which could easily been seen as state interference in freedom of expression under article 10 of the human rights act.
The journalist involved has no convictions and is a full member of the NUJ who had applied for official press accreditation to attend press conferences at the G8 summit over a month ago.
Around 3,000 journalists are expected to attend the G8 summit where they will out number delegates by two to one. The journalists who will attend have been hand picked by the state.
Stay tuned to indymedia for something other than corporate state sanctioned celebrity obsesed press coverage of the G8.
