US' Next War Target: YEMEN

30-12-2009 17:43

Northern Yemen Tribes
Yemen is US' Next Target on War Against Terrorism ... Obama promised to crush Al-Qaeda in Yemen ... The US government announced its relentless commitments to crush terrorists in Yemen. Yesterday, Barack Obama promised ‘accelerated offensive’ against militants in Yemen by citing the example of a 23-year-old Nigerian who supposedly wanted to bomb a US bound airliner. The president of that North American country said he would commit ‘every element of national power’ to perform another mission in the Middle East, a region which holds huge oil and gas reserves. But many experts have questioned Washington's seemingly aggressive military drive into the Middle East as whether it is designed to destroy the Al-Qaeda militants or just making up excuses to boost military presence to control vital energy resources.

On 10 December 1984, 25 years ago, the General Assembly of the UN adopted the text of the Convention Against Torture, banning the use of torture (in writing, it was already illegal) and practices related to it, such as assisting in torture and returning people to countries where they face torture. Dying for Crooks: US Troops in Afghanistan

20-11-2009 12:28

Karzais corruption ticket
Transparency International reported yesterday that Afghanistan is the most corrupt nation in the world – except for Somalia. ... Heckua achievement, if the only nation on earth that is more shady is one that is full of pirates… Karzai is making Marion Barry look like Mother Teresa. ... The Washington Post reported today that one of Afghanistan’s top ministers took a $30 million bribe to give a special deal to a Chinese mining company. The New York Times reported: “Everything seems to be for sale: public offices, access to government services, even a person’s freedom.” .... So what do Army recruiters say these days? Why in Hades would any American agree to risk his neck to prop up this band of thieves?

USA-CIA-Program: Assassinations Worldwide

18-07-2009 15:40

Cheney Assassination Ring
The Central Intelligence Agency’s secret assassination squad was allowed to operate anywhere in the world, including the United States, according to a Thursday report in The Washington Post. “The plan to deploy small teams of assassins grew out of the CIA’s early efforts to battle al-Qaeda after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks,” the paper reported. “A secret document known as a ‘presidential finding’ was signed by President George W. Bush that same month, granting the agency broad authority to use deadly force against bin Laden as well as other senior members of al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups.”

CIA's TOP-TERRORIST Dick Cheney

14-07-2009 15:14

CIA's secret program: Paramilitary teams targeting Al Qaeda .... The agency had a plan after Sept. 11 for paramilitary forces to take out Al Qaeda figures overseas. Congress was never told. Reporting from Washington -- The secret CIA program halted last month by Director Leon E. Panetta involved establishing elite paramilitary teams that could be inserted into Pakistan or other locations to capture or kill top leaders of the Al Qaeda terrorist network, according to former U.S. intelligence officials. The program -- launched in the immediate aftermath of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks -- was never operational. But officials said that as recently as a year ago CIA executives discussed plans to deploy teams to test basic capabilities, including whether they could enter hostile territory and maneuver undetected, as well as gather intelligence and track high-value targets.
