The Foreign Office has called for the return of the two remaining British residents in Guantánamo Bay: Battersea resident Shaker Aamer and Bournemouth resident Ahmed Belbacha but what are they doing to bring them back? Mr. Aamer’s return was sought in August 2007 and Mr. Belbacha has been free to leave for even longer, so why are they still held there?

In the fortnight before he disappears on summer holiday for almost the next 3 months, get the Foreign Secretary to do some work and email your questions to him, David Miliband MP:  private.office@fco.gov.uk

Send him reminders in case he rudely forgets to reply to you, ask for updates, make it a part of your daily routine, but do ask…otherwise the government may get the impression that you don’t care…contact your own MP as well and get them to voice your concerns too.
