Climate activists opposed to plans for a third runway at Heathrow this afternoon disrupted a Parliamentary inquiry going on inside the House of Commons.
Protestors from climate action group, Plane Stupid, disrupted the proceedings of the Transport Select Committee who were hearing evidence from BAA boss, Steven Nelson and Aviation Minister, Jim Fitzpatrick.

60 cyclists (definitely more than the 30 originally reported - check the film) in protest at the launch of eurostar - st pancras last week. protest about poor parking facilities, poor local cycle routes and planning, and poor arrangements for cycle carriage on eurostar.

Thursday November 8th saw the Friends Meeting House in London packed out for a tremendous Public meeting organised by Campaign against Climate Change.

around 30 cyclists met at 8.30 this morning for the opening of the new eurostar terminal at st pancras station, london
they were highlighting the poor facilities and planning for bikes in contrast with the much-publicised claims of carbon-neutral travel to paris
the st pancras opening was also targetted by a greenpeace action against the third runway at heathrow

On Monday 5th November climate change campaigners from Camp for Climate Action, Rising Tide and BioFuel Watch took action against geo-engineering (deliberate modification of Earth's environment on a large scale) companies who are hoping to make a great deal of money from carbon credits by encouraging the growth of phytoplankton in the oceans . They claim this will 'sequester' carbon dioxide, a technology known as 'ocean seeding'.

this is regarding the serious lack of hemp in the environmental movement. although it would also help just about every other grassroots movement. i would have thought that being alternative media, there'd be something on hemp. i was especially surprised by the sister site
