Nuclear test in Korea, Israel gets ignored

There have been numerous times when Israel has been close to using nuclear weapons, On October 8, 1973, just after the start of the Yom Kippur War, Golda Meir and her closest aides decided to put eight nuclear armed F-4s at Tel Nof Airbase on 24-hour alert and as many nuclear missile launchers at Sedot Mikha Airbase operational as possible. It was revealed the targets were the cities of Cairo and Damascus which have a combined population of nearly 20 million people. During the 1991 Gulf War, Israel went on full-scale nuclear alert and mobile nuclear missile launchers were deployed.
Compare this to North Korea which has been forced to maintain a large army in the face of US driven pressure from South Korea and which has reluctantly developed a small defensive nuclear capability to ensure its security in the face of the massive US war machine.
