The pain of losing Someone special

Someone special.
And asking: why didn’t I say my last goodbyes better?
Why didn’t I behave better when they were around?
Why didn’t I do this for them?
That for them?
What are they thinking now they’re in another place?
How can I bring them back?
And a million other questions like these.
How many people anywhere are feeling the pain of losing someone?
Someone special.
And asking: why didn’t I say my last goodbyes better?
Why didn’t I behave better when they were around?
Why didn’t I do this for them?
That for them?
What are they thinking now they’re in another place?
How can I bring them back?
And a million other questions like these.
The pain never goes.
it never will go.
And the remorse, the hurt, the guilt are all too true,m too real.
They are part of the breath in the bereaved.
These feelings keep the bereaved still breathing.
The ones who have departed will not come back like before.
But they can be with the bereaved.
Forever.
they can remind of the times when they played.
They laughed.
They jumped up and down and they made excuses
so they would get a treat.
Those are the moments that must be in the active memories of the bereaved.
No act of cruelty that the departed may have been put through by cruel
hospital staff could take away the joy, the kindness that they and their
beloved bereaved shared.
Those moments must strengthen the bond that will never be broken.
The bond in eternal gratitude.
