It's time to call it a day and say goodbye

The team here who you know as 2Sam have today heard our contract is finished so after all this time we are saying goodbye. In the words of the great Douglas Adams,
"So long and thanks for all the fish"

What started as a short six month assignment become a long term contract as we were asked to provide an alternative viewpoint on a number of issues that were getting 'traction' on Indymedia however now that the site is all but finished our principles have pulled the plug and we have moved on to the modern social media sites where the new fight is taking place. Maybe we will meet again on facebook and the like.
We had a lot of fun and thoroughly enjoyed besting not only the mods but a number of regular contributors. In the end it all became too easy so the challenge did wain for a number of the team and there was a feeling of only going through the motions. When it got to the point where we were contributing about 75% of the original posts and 50% of the comments we thought it had all become a little silly !
To a number of mods we raise our hats
Mr Demenour - one of the few with real intellectual ability who didn't take himself too seriously.
Monkey Wrench - never any bullshit, just honest moderating.
Owen - always enjoyed those email signatures.
Chris - Great technical skills that we admired.
Phunkee - always a nicer individual in person than the posts would suggest.
For all the mods that we met face to face at various events know that it was not personal but as was once said by Chris, there is a media war going on right now and you are on one side and we the other.
For the very last time
