My surgeries are done for now and I am at a house in town and feeling much better. Many thanks for your concern and support. I should be back home by the next show. You are welcome to cheer me on through the website or via my mailing address (PO Box 1162, Willits, CA 95490)
This week's show features stories from Spanish National Radio, Radio Deutsche-Welle, the Voice of Russia, Radio Havana Cuba, and NHK World Radio Japan.
From SPAIN- French soldiers are fighting rebellions in its former colony now called the Central African Republic, in addition to increased fighting in Mali. A UN nuclear team will visit Libya to assess the safety of thousands of barrels of milled uranium. Then press reviews on renewable energy subsidies in Spain, oil company privatization in Mexico, FARC announces a ceasefire, and the toppling of a Lenin statue in Ukraine. The protests in Ukraine are escalating and the government is not backing down.
From GERMANY- In a later report on protests in Ukraine, protestors have rejected talks with President Viktor Yanukovych. The US and Britain say that they are suspending aid to some Syrian rebels. The leader of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood has appeared in court, while protests continue in the streets. Israel, Jordan and Palestine signed a deal on a large water project. Time magazine named Pope Francis as person of the year- the 4 runner-ups were quite diverse. There have been outbreaks of looting across Argentina, where police are on strike for pay raises.
From RUSSIA- The British government is strongly promoting the development of shale gas, or fracking. Questions and protests are expanding.
From CUBA- A report on the damage caused by Chevron and Texaco in the Amazonian region of Ecuador. Afghan President Karzai continues to defy signing a security deal with the US unless civilians stop being killed. Drone protestors have been arrested in upstate New York. The Palestinian flotilla protests continue against the Israeli naval blockade of fishing waters. Hundreds of Palestinians staged protests against the Israeli removal of Bedouin from the southern Negev desert.
From JAPAN- The Japanese government will acquire land to build intermediate storage facilities for radioactive waste from Fukushima. Ministers at the Trans Pacific Partnership free trade talks have failed to meet a deadline to strike a deal this year.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at http://radio.mediageek.net
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
NEW TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via
I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)

"I hope this is increasingly apparent now after Snowden's revelations, that we are facing a new Western religion. And that new Western religion is the national security state. It's hurtling towards a dystopia. It is dragging many of us along with it - not combatants but all of those who use the internet - are sucked up into this system."
