NECK
http://www.facebook.com/Neck.PsychoCeilidh
one of the originals and still one of the best.London Irish psycho-ceilidh...
A six-piece 'Psycho-Ceilídh' band juxtaposing perfectly the swirling, spiritual abandon of authentic Traditional Irish music with the electric energy blast of a full-on, pumped-up-to-fe*k Punk band and in the process, distilling the sound of two other mighty London rebel bands, The Clash & The Pogues, & 'carrying the torch on' with their own, unique London-Irish brew!
NO HOPE
http://www.facebook.com/nohopepunk?fref=ts
old-school punk-rock band coming all the way from Aretxabaleta, a town in the province of Gipuzkoa in the Basque country for this, their only english gig celebrating their new album release!
BOTTLEJOB – streetpunk sounds
www.facebook.com/pages/BOTTLEJOB/221138091252917
london slang, sounding like a bottle in the face, it refers to a coward or what the ..Cockney Rejects.. would call a 'shitter'. Stand together and never run.
The band is an unlikely mix of Irish and Basque but based here in London.
STEVE WHITE AND THE PROTEST FAMILY
http://www.facebook.com/protestfamily
great news...we've been trying to book this band for a gig for a couple of years now and its never happened till now!!we're totally thrilled to have them on board for the gig!
After a difficult childhood, Steve White & The Protest Family officially came of age at Tommy Flynn's in Camden on the 3rd December 2009. Led by songwriter Steve, their brash, witty, entertaining, often political brand of semi-acoustic folk/punk invokes comparisons with Billy Bragg when he used to be good. Frank Turner would hate it of course.
BRENDAN O'PREY
www.facebook.com/TheLagan
lead singer from londonirishcelticpunkers THE LAGAN roped in to do a solo set.expect a few Lagan favourites and a few choice covers as well.
latest news is that there will be a 'txalparta' as well.thats a ancient Basque instrument and 'bertsolari' which is a old way of telling stories by singing...
keep a eye on here for updates and any changes to the line-up...
