UK KFA Slams SK-US Missile Deal
UK KOREAN FRIENDSHIP ASSOCIATION

The UK Korean Friendship Association strongly condemn the so-called "deal" between the US and south Korea to allow south Korea to extend the range of its ballistic missiles from 300km to 800km in order to be able to strike all of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and possibly China and Russia. This agreement is not an agreement between equals but very much a case of the Organ grinder letting the monkey dance. The so-called agreement simply turns south Korea into an unsinkable aircraft carrier for US imperialism.
By taking a measure to allow south Korea to extend the range of its missiles(more than doubling the range ) it is clear that the US and south Korea do not want peace but are in fact rounding off one in scope and depth preparations for a war against the DPRK . This measure though it is the most dangerous and provocative yet one of a long line of war moves and provocations against the DPRK which include slandering the supreme leadership and system of the DPRK , introducing new kinds of military hardware into south Korea and frequent war exercises against the DPRK including RIMPAC and Ulji Freedom Guardian. This latest and decisive twist in the spiral of tension created by the US imperialists is a very grave threat to peace in north east Asia and the whole world. It increases the likelihood that the flashpoint of the the third world war will be in Korea. Such a war could threaten the existence of humanity , the US and south Korea would be held responsible for their actions.
We fully support the statement of the DPRK NDC on October 9th as well as the statements subsequently made by the DPRK Foreign Ministry and the Committee For the Peaceful Reunification of Korea. UK KFA believes that the DPRK has every right as a sovereign nation to take whatever steps are necessary to defend itself from potential aggression by the US and south Korea. Such aggression is now a real possibility given the decsion to extend the range of south Korean missiles.

We support the call made by the DPRK NDC to do more to expose the arbitrary and unjust policies of US imperialism . The US throughout its history has interfered and intervened in many countries. It has sent troops to lands many miles from its shores. We believe that the US must withdraw from south Korea.
We will support the Korean people in their struggle against US imperialism.
