Volunteers from the Foundation for a Drug-Free World handed out over 1,700 booklets on the dangers of drugs to fans during the Rays-Rangers game on Sunday, September 9 from the Rays Community Corner located inside Tropicana Field. Some of the attendees of Sunday’s game also signed the drug-free pledge which is promoted by the Foundation.

“The response was very positive,” said Julieta Santagostino, the local Florida Director of the Foundation of a Drug-Free World. “Many parents thanked us and asked for more booklets for other friends and family members.”

The Truth About Drugs booklet is part of a 12-part series educating people on the facts and dangers of various drugs. In 2012 so far the foundation has distributed over 45,000 of the drug information booklets at community events and public places around Tampa Bay.
