As well as remembering the death of Armstrong let us remember those killed by the US to protect the secret.

Theodore Freeman (killed October 1964 by ground to air missile)

Elliot See and Charlie Bassett (Killed February 1966 by bomb on their plane)

Virgil Ivan "Gus" Grissom, Edward Higgins "Ed" White, and Roger B. Chaffee (Apollo 1 fire, January 1967 as all three were engineers and had realised that Apollo could not reach the moon and they were going to spill the beans)

Edward "Ed" Givens (engineered car accident, June 1967)

Clifton "C. C." Williams (killed in T-38 bombing, October 1967)

Michael J. "Mike" Adams (X-15 crash, November 1967. Aircraft sabotaged)

Robert Henry Lawrence, Jr. (F-104 crash as a result of sabotage December 1967, shortly after being selected as a pilot with the Air Force's (later cancelled) Manned Orbiting Laboratory program.

NASA worker Thomas Ronald Baron (automobile collision with train, April 1967, shortly after making accusations before Congress about the cause of the Apollo 1 fire, after which he was fired). Baron was a quality control inspector who wrote a report critical of the Apollo program and was an outspoken critic after the Apollo 1 fire. Baron and his family were killed as their car was struck by a train at a train crossing. Local garage found car had been tampered with.

Brian D. Welch, a leading official in NASA's Public Affairs Office and Director of Media Services, died a few months after appearing in the media to admit the truth. His obituary claims he died of a heart attack at the relatively young age of 42 but his family doctor said there was no history of heart attacks in the family and he was a fit and healthy man
