Calais: support comrades in Court

One person is being charged for 'outrage' and five with 'organised rebellion' against the border police, Police Aux Frontières, and the riot police, Compagnies Républicaines de Sécurité.
Attacking migrants and their supporters and then laying heavy totalitarian charges has been a common police tactic, aiming to drive out migrants and deter people from challenging state abuse against people with and without papers in Calais.
These police attacks, and round up of people off the streets into police cells for days, just so happened to coincide with the UK ambassador visit to Calais on 30 March 2012 as part of the preparation of the London Olympics.
For more details on what happened please see: http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2012/04/494501.html
This new episode of police and judicial intimidation only reveals, once again, the law enforcement reinforcing politically organised violence by the state apparatus to destroy solidarity and struggle against nationalist control and persecution of migrants. Despite their aspirations there will always be resistance.
