The Liverpool Echo applies its car obsessed agenda to serious stories bendind language and truth.

A cyclist is knocked over by a car and seriously injured.
This for the Liverpool Echo translates as:
'Cyclist trapped under car rushed to hospital in Warrington' (02/04/12)

Giving the impression that the car was just sitting there and the cyclist crawled underneath for some bizarre reason.

Reading the story the truth is revealed but what's the matter with
'Cyclist knocked over and seriously injured.'
