• Food and shelter; two basic human needs that should not be denied to any single human being. Everyone who does not have access to them due to the injustice of their social condition will always be totally entitled to take them. No state or capitalist Law can contradict this natural right.
• The real crime is not squatting but house-gambling. Owning empty properties with the only purpose of self-profit and guided for no other reason than self-interest, this is THE REAL CRIME. Playing dices with the most basic human needs has consequences. Sure it can provide a fast way towards material wealth and social status. However, under certain circumstances such an attitude can perfectly be as risky as playing Russian roulette. Messing around with poverty and other people's lives is playing with fire. There has been some rioting recently and it might not be the last time for this to happen. Your repressive millionaire-tailored policies are doing nothing but adding more fuel to the flames. Be warned.
• Every single squatter in this city and in the whole UK knows how to do their job. We are not burglars. We do not break into other people's houses to scare babies or steal the silver cutlery. We just occupy empty houses that have been left to rot by their owners so that the price of the property goes up and they can make money out of it. Meanwhile the rents continue to rocket and the problem of homelessness keeps going on without any sort of solution in prospect. Charity is nothing but part of the problem.
• If some so-called squatters are just a bunch of pricks that does not speak for the vast majority of our people. If some of us made a mistake there would not be mercy from journalists, coppers and other ass-licking servants of demo-fascist tyranny. Mistakes however among cops, financial brokers, politicians, the rich and the middle classes do not normally make such a fuss and no excuse or apology are spared in justifying their “misdemeanours”. The difference? We are shitty unglamorous common working/dole people who even dare to do our best to remain as less productive as we can while they have money, and social prestige. Not that that makes them any better than us in moral terms though.
• How many times will we have to repeat the same; No, we don't want your charity, we spit at your schemes to improve housing or make it more accessible to lower income families and collectives. We are an image from the future as the Greek rebels have said. We are here to change the world, to destroy the state and capitalism and create a free, equal and fairer society for everyone. We can manage to carry on with our projects and our lifestyle, trying to live today as we would like to do in a revolutionary society and so rejecting the poisoned candies of a bunch of sad legalistic reforms. We don't need anything from you and your “help” or false “compassion” are not welcome. THIS IS NOT ABOUT FUNDING OR POLICIES BUT ABOUT PROVING OUR POINT HERE AND NOW.
• Legal or illegal, you will never stop squatting. If you want a war, you'll get one, if you put us in jail, well... the whole fucking country will have to become one and you will no longer feel safe anywhere.
