This is a round up of campaigning against the Baby Show / Clarion Events in Birmingham at the end of May.
On Monday 16th and Friday 20th May folk took an info stall and spent the day leafleting outside Mothercare in central Birmingham. Mothercare are one of the principle sponsors of the Baby Show. Many people turned away in disgust and some went inside and asked the management why they were supporting arms dealers. Most people were interested in talking about the issues and Mothercare had very quiet days' trading.
On Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd we were outside the Baby Show at the NEC, giving out info and talking to people both as they arrived and left. Despite security bods trying to sideline us we were visible and vocal and everyone attending was made aware that the Baby Show is run by arms dealers.
