Amongst the recent protests in England,i came across an old non-violent form of non-compliance to 'the authorities'/politicians,that was a method used in ages past by the' common folk ',to show the ruling elite their anger with the status quo.It was recently performed by a solitary 70 year old man,with great deal of integrity in the US at a speech recorded for posterity on you tube.It involves the different technics of 'shunning',all this fellow did in this situation,was to stand up from his seat ,,,and turn his back on the speaker, this fellow caused a minor stir and a flurry of security guards descended upon his non violent act,dragging him violently from the auditorium .If this type of ..non- violent ...non compliance were to be performed on the streets where the processions are to go with the royals for the wedding, with no placards and hopefully some numbers of people and a few cameras used to tape it ...maybe some of the masses would join in at later events and bring this old form of dissent into use again.Hoping this might be the basis of a story by you toward this end[not asking too much am i] The idea is that the people involved only turn around at the last minute so nothing can be done by the police ,and no placards are needed [which would be taken from the crowd anyway] if enough do it ,the idea may catch on and be' the next big thing' at the next big event and hopefully become ...'trendy'..'.dreams are free and so should we be' my quote.Hope the idea spreads ,because the politicians and big boy's on this planet are running roughshod over all our last freedoms and rights at once,thanking you in advance ,and i realize that this plea may go un-noticed ,,but it can't hurt to try...peter.PS,keep up the good articles and maybe that will have it's desired effect... in the long term.
