To celebrate Black History Month, the explosive and effusive Reggae Orchestra returns for what will inevitably be another leaping-in-the-aisles show, its fantastically diverse group of 35 unsung local musicians playing a compelling repertoire drawn from bravely crafted originals and sturdy reggae classics. Entertaining, masterfully assured, and full of rhythmic excellence, this is crowd-pleasing Bristol world music that doesn't short-change. See them now, before the rest of the world grabs them.

The one and only Reggae Orchestra -
From the heart of St Paul’s, Bristol
The St Paul’s / St George's Reggae Orchestra, one of the most inspiring and unique community music projects of the past year, kicked off its debut performance in a sell out event in March. On Sunday 31st October 2010 from 7:30pm, St Paul’s/St George’s Reggae Orchestra , the only Reggae Orchestra in the South West, are back again to transform St George’s, a traditionally Classical Music venue, into a seething dance hall.
Created in partnership by St George's Bristol (through the Migrations Project) and St Paul's Learning and Family Centre, St Paul's Reggae Orchestra brings diverse and local community musicians from across inner city Bristol to the wider audiences of Bristol. Meeting weekly to rehearse, the Orchestra is currently working towards an extended portfolio of well known reggae music, as well as music created specifically for the orchestra by composers within the community. This is a project that has truly come from the heart of St Paul’s Bristol.
