From Sunday 24th October to Sunday 31st October Events shall be open to everyone in Manchester with the aim to give cyclists skills and confidence to ride a bike as a form of transport. BUT! also to have loads of fun on bikes too.

Basic Bike Maintenance class Birch Community Centre
Bike Basics: Brakes- including types of brakes, changing brake cables
and brake blocks.

4pm Platt Fields Park:
Beginners Bicycle Polo
a fun + chilled session on bicycle polo, learn how the game works, the rules and have a go!
4pm, Tennis Courts, Longford Park, Chorlton
Open Bike Play
Come play on our tiny green bikes, we'll show you how to do some tricks and balances. Anyone attending will be given a chance to make a special spooky cameo role in Friday's performance.
Monday 25th October:
5.30pm meet under the bridge next to MMU
Bike Horror Tour of Manchester, riding to places of historic horrific interest, with tales of terror!
also visiting regular places of interest for new + old cyclists in the city (such as fallowfield Loop, bike shops, bars etc)
Tuesday 26th October
6pm meet at Platt Fields Park Boat House
Bat Ride: with bat detectors fitted onto our bikes we shall ride in search of spotting some bats with a bat expert!
Wednesday 27th October
Noon til late

please bring along old frames and parts to build the bikes with. useful materials include:

Cyclists Supper- Bring and share vegan food for a feast!
Followed by Roller Racing and DJ's

Time and Room TBC
Acrobalance is where we learn some skills and tricks. It's a bit like
the beginnings of circus training or yoga, with laughing! No Experience Necessary. This will also be another chance to get involved with Friday's performance.
Friday 29th Oct - The Spokes Performance
6pm, Central Library, Before Critical Mass
The Spokes Bicycle Dance Troupe will be performing a special Horror Halloween Routine. If you'd like to be involved then come along to our Open Bike Play on Sunday 24th Oct
Friday 29th October, 6pm Central Library
Critical Mass with freak bikes and fancy dress, followed by bonfire and pedal powered party at secret outdoor location
Saturday 30th October
Noon Shell garage in East Didsbury:Off-road ride on the Transpennine Trail and canals around Manchester, bring your bike and enjoy the mud!

Bike Terror Treasurehunt
bring a partner in crime, an a to z, brains (preferably in jars)

If you enjoyed Friday's performance then come and have a go for yourself! For anyone who couldn't make last week's sessions, or those that did and enjoyed it so much they want another go.

Bike Zombie: Dress like a zombie and we'll roam the streets on our bikes to celebrate Halloween!
Cyclogeddon Party: To end the festival we shall be celebrating in horrific style with an outdoor party in a secret location with Tall bike jousting, chariot racing, bike throw + BBQ and Beers
Throughout the Bike Horror Fest-
Bike Art Blitz (During the whole festival we shall be running an art exhibition literally in our city.
Put up your bike art for everyone to enjoy without the complications of walls and ceilings! Then upload pictures of it with its whereabouts so we can show it off on the website.
To upload pictures you need to log in - or create a free account.
Then, create your work of art and upload a picture of it. Use the map to find where you did it and click to put a marker down.
Jobs: we'd like EVERYONE to help make this happen- we don't have any funding and we all volunteer our time to make this happen (it's noone's job, and everyone's job at the same time!)
