New Author Turns his Back on the 'Cheshire Set' in Search of 'Real Life'

'The Sun Sharer' could be described as 'alternative women's fiction'. It has been written by a man and tells an intriguing yet tragic story questioning the meaning of love whether in a marriage or in an affair. In contrast to other books of its genre 'The Sun Sharer' is a black alternative to most Romances and contains a spiritual twist. It is the first part of a completed trilogy of books.
'The Sun Sharer' follows our most deeply felt involvement in true love, bad love and unrequited love, where the grey areas of a 'dubious spirit world' come to colour what is to be considered 'Real Life'. Importantly the book answers many topical themes such as how life revolves around sex, money and power, corrupting marriage instead of focusing on 'Real Life', and love. The author also questions why so many people have to lean on beliefs of a spiritual, religious or materialistic nature without any foundation or practical truth.
Edmunson was driven to writing the book after finding himself very unfulfilled in a convenient marriage and with a materialistic and manipulative wife. In 2004 he was working long week's in a stressful, but well paid job as a Logistics Consultant. Having just hit 50 Edmunson's life revolved around hard work and the couple's 'Cheshire set' dinner parties where he would be surrounded by superficial people.
Edmunson then visited a clairvoyant and an astrologer, each of whom separately told him to pursue a simple life by the sea. He took the advice and bought himself a holiday home in Catalonia, Spain in search of a more real existence - a decision that was to change his life completely as he saw the contradictions between Cheshire and Catalonia.
In the midst of divorce proceedings and overcoming personal weaknesses as he battled with loneliness and insecurity Edmunson's adventure soon made him realise just how shallow his previous life had become. But that has created a real anger that dramatises the book's themes.
Whilst Edmunson's dream of being an author is now to be realised it has come at a great personal cost. Having given his wife 100% of the house and his apartment in Catalonia as well as 80% of his pensions the author now lives a simple life in a caravan. Indeed, it will be from his own home, the caravan, that Jack George Edmunson will promote 'The Sun Sharer' as he travels across the length and breadth of the UK before heading 'home' to the heaven of Catalonia.
And the book? It is what everyone wants to say and do but will never admit....especially to themselves.
Book two in the trilogy entitled 'A Path Too Long' is due to be published in September 2010 with the final book 'Someone Something' following in March 2011.
