Next stop was Hockley Furriers (formerly Philip Hockley Ltd) at 20 Conduit Street, London, W1S 2XW (Tel: 020 7493 6362 // info@hockleylondon.com), who are one of the handful of furriers left in the country, making it their sole purpose to trade in the skins of millions of animals for fashion. Again, we lined the front of the shop and throughout the period of time there only one heartless person went in. Chants echoed around the prestigious street, letting everybody know about the animal abuse condoned by their local furriers.
It seems Hockley aren't doing too well, with prices being slashed on their coats to a very low amount. It also turns out the owner also runs another company, Polar Furs (Tel: 0207 2812266) in Holloway which is based in the building of the British Fur Trade Association! (Tel: 020 7281 9299).
Last of all was another Joseph store on Brook Street, where we stayed for about an hour where hundreds of leaflets were given out to passers by, calling for a boycott of the company until they stop selling real fur.
