311 Stoney Stanton Rd, Coventry
All welcome.
success. Great atomsphere, really inspiring discussion. We all agreed to
continue with another meeting, this time to focus on the constructive but
very tricky question -- what can we do about it?
For both those of us with papers, and those of us without, the
ever-stronger border regime is an assault on our freedom and our dignity.
Racism, arbitrary detention, destitution, injustice, affect us all.
Against us is not only the State but also private corporations who make
money from the immigration system. How can we resist such power? How can
we unite and create solidarity between locals and new arrivals? How can
individuals maintain our dignity in the face of oppression? What lessons
can we learn from others who have stood up and organised? We will watch
films and hear from people who have shown that the border regime is not
unstoppable. What can we do in our area?
