Forty five years.
A single burning flame.
The death of Shaaban Souri.
Empty beds.
Urgent action.
Solidarity hunger strikers.
Still detained.
Recounting their stories.
The founder and his influence.
The event is attended by around 100 supporters including humanitarians, Amnesty International representatives and religious observers.
Neither the US or the UK have acted to ensure the freedom of the detainees seized during the attacks on Camp Ashraf and there remains a media blackout of the attack by US and UK media.
Camp Ashraf residents remain in peril with around 3,500 people now subject to the mercy of internal political wrangling taking place between Iraq and an newly ascendent Iran which now appears to have control over the internal domestic judicial processes within Iraq.
US embassy, London, UK. 05th September 2009.
