Bhadana secured 2,57,864 votes and the BJP nominee got 1,89,663 votes.
The BSP, which had fielded former star of the Indian cricket team Chetan Sharma, stood third securing about 1,13,000 votes. The nominee of the Haryana Janhhit Congress (BL) mustered about 31,000 votes.
Bhadana credited his win to the performance of the UPA government led by Dr Manmohan Singh, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the performance of the Congress government in Haryana in the four years of its rule.
The Congress camp had a festive atmosphere with firecrackers rending the air in celebration of the poll victory here.
