A website for the Visteon occupations (www.visteonoccupation.org) is now up and running. The dispute continues and the support and organisation behind the worker's action is gathering pace.
A website for the Visteon occupations (www.visteonoccupation.org) is now up and running with the help of the workers themselves and their supporters. More content and fine tuning will be added as the dispute continues.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT NEEDED:
"..the strikers have agreed they need financial support both for themselves and for the campaign. They have agreed that the Haringey Solidarity Group (HSG) bank account and address can be used for funds, as we need to move on this quite quickly to get money to them. So, can we pass the word out far and wide - they need financial support. ALL money collected via the HSG bank account will be passed on to the workers. They will then decide how it is spent/used. This is just a way to get funds quickly without having to set up a new bank account..." This is from last nights meeting at Enfield. Note that this fund is for Enfeld in particular, NOT a national fund.
PRINTER REQUIRED FOR THE ENFIELD PLANT:
A printer is required by the Enfield workers so that they can print more publicity on-site and help spread the word of their action.
A MESSAGE OF THANKS FROM THE WORKERS:
A message from one of the workers at the Enfield Plant:
"A big thank you to everybody for their generous donations. We are overwhelmed by the kindness, and generosity of complete strangers who have looked after us so well. It has been UNBELIEVABLE! Thanks to the Turkish community for the fantastic hot food last night, the trays and trays of fruit, the trays of creme donuts, and many other donations too numerous to mention. Society is always ready to slag off the bad things that happen, but never any time is given to the good deeds people do, and expect nothing in return! THANK YOU All SO MUCH."
If there is anything at all that YOU can do to help the workers, be it in a physical capacity, a financial capacity or even just spreading the word, pressuring ford and growing solidarity for the brave workers of the Visteon plants, then please do it. The strength of ordinary people against capitalists and governments rests entirely on our ability to work together and take on our share of the fight.
