Let St Neots Community College know what you think of their Facial Scanning

With the new system students will walk up to a scanner, type in a pin and then be verified within 1.5 seconds. Thus creating an electronic record of who is in the building at any one time. This type of technology if successful in trials could be taken up by a wide range of institutions that would like to monitor and track people’s movements.
The introduction of this equipment has been particularly virulent amongst Educational establishments with large Biometric companies pushing this technology as a ‘solution’ to minor administrative problems such as holding a manual register that they seek to exaggerate.
The paranoia for security is at every stage eroding our basic rights to privacy and to move freely within society. The next generation being brought up to accept this intrusive technology as part of their daily lives will be unable to dissent against a panoptic authority that will know everything on them thus paving the way for a new dawn of totalitarian control of mankind.
