These 7 people are the political voice of Nepal's private-sector tourism industry, they have massive political influence and they will all be personally affected by the boycott campaign! Put simply, if we apply enough pressure to them, they will start applying pressure for the monkeys...and these people can apply a LOT of pressure!!!

They've had 21 days to settle in to their new jobs, NOW let's make sure the monkeys are right at the top of their agendas! We will be releasing detailed profiles of the new NTB Directors and their business interests soon...but for now we're asking you to politely email them your thoughts about Nepal's monkey business.

I am writing to ask you to help stop the terrible monkey farming which is happening in Nepal. A farm is crrently active in Lele with over 300 monkeys and it has recently been disclosed that at least 30 monkeys have already died there. A video of the farm can be seen here:

As I'm sure you're aware, a large portion of Nepal's tourism originates from the USA and Europe and focuses on "eco-tourism" with a strong "spiritual" element. However, whilst European nations are considering ending the use of monkeys for scientific research due to "ethical concerns", Nepal's planned participation in the monkey business means it can no longer be considered an "ethical" tourist destination.

On the 20th of November, 2008, a petition was launched on the internet asking people to sign a pledge tp boycott Nepal because of the monkey farming and, (in just 40 days), over 2,800 people from around the world have signed. You can view the petition for yourself here:

Please urgently use your influence with the Minister of Forestry and Soil Conservation to ensure that monkey farming is banned in Nepal, immediately and without exception, before the damage to Nepal's global reputation begins to impact Nepal's tourism industry due to this terrible scandal!
