Open Meeting @ SoundBites Social Change Library
Anon | 05.11.2008 23:23 | Climate Chaos | Globalisation | Social Struggles
Not to mention the cyclic recessions it blesses us with every few decades thus allowing the state to theive even more taxes from us so that the banks they prop up with them can then continue to lend us our own money back with interest. Charming.
Anyhow, your pound is power so place it at your peril. Why give these corporate crooks your hard earned wage when there's good people creating wonderful things all around you. Why not make some stuff yourself? Either way, this December we'd like to encourage you all to:
CONSUME LESS, CREATE MORE!
Please get involved in anyway you desire, whether you want to help us put on an event, get involved in an alternative market, deliver creative workshops, help us raise awareness, contribute a track to a CLCM CD, whatever you can think of. More people doing a little is better than a few people doing alot.
We'll be meeting this Saturday @ 2pm at the Social Change Library above Sound Bites ethical store in Derby's city centre in order look at the cause and affects of consumerism and look at as many inspiring ideas as possible regarding how we can challenge it during December.
