More background information - google/scroogle ""remember each eleventh" campaign". . . . a good opener is "to remember, does that help".
See also "remember the "pull the rug" scam", posted here this october 2008
Without history, we all get caught up in tragic, farcical repetitions.
The same goes for looking back at past attempts at solutions - its all too easy to get "taught" the wrong lessons if we dont have more of the "quieted" ACTUAL background picture - e.g.-
- FDRs entire intended original programme ( as he might update it after the last 80 years experience ) - WITH that information about the USAs "almost" coup, prior to his inauguration -
- The backlash to Theodore Rooseveldts break-up of the oil cartel when it was just ONE corporation ( ditto )
- The "League of Nations" with-teeth blueprint that Woodrow "went down with a nervous breakdown" for, stitched-up from several sides ( ditto the ACTUAL aims post-ww1 disarmament agreements, diminished then delayed from 1919 to . . . . 1932!
- The intended follow-up to the Hague peace treaties of 1899, scheduled for 1914 after preparatory committees in 1907. . . . stymied by a "little war that might quite possibly finish by xmas"
Then to see the way the world mightnt have lost the twentieth century - but for a few "flukes" . . . . but a lot of clumsy sabotage. . . . is to also see that that work isnt wasted, that what "IS" isnt quite so "pre-ordained" or "set in stone" as we tend to think.
If we didnt actually have fire brigades - its almost certain that trying to propose them might get you accused of unrealistic optimism, bolshevism, or both. The world is burning, yet we are told, amongst other things, that the real economy must go into recession for ten years due to a bunch of mortgage-swindlers I.O.Us getting rated "triple A-credit" by a bunch of criminal(ly negligent) idiots, who then lied to each other about how much they had - but by-the-way we've spent all the emergency cash to get their confidence back.
Then ask whats "out of the question". . . .
