"His lawyer, Nicola Loughran at Livingstone Brown, managed to lodge an application for a Judicial review' late Tuesday evening at the High Court in Edinburgh. 'First Orders' stopping Ibrahim's removal flight were granted at the High Court yesterday morning. Many, many thanks to everyone who faxed and phoned on behalf of the family". UNITY!

Elizabeth Kiwunga Marie and John, released
Elizabeth was released yesterday on 'temporary release'
Her Judicial review has been withdrawn by consent after the Home Secretary agreed to reconsider all representations again. There are the following possible outcomes:
1) Application granted - this could be either on refugee or family grounds
2) Application refused but accepted as a fresh claim, thus she will be able to appeal to the AIT
3) Application refused and rejected as a fresh claim; in which case we would have to lodge another JR.
They are not returning to Darlington just yet, gone to Southampton to recuperate with friends.
Elizabeth thanks everyone for their support

Helen Laolu-Balogun and children back in Portsmouth
"This is to express my appreciation to all those that supported my children and I during a very difficult period. We were eventually returned to Plymouth after several relocations within a few months.
My children came out of Yarl's Wood as different people, deeply traumatized and sick. My 15 years old son that has sickle cell anemia collapsed, became seriously ill and almost lost his life thanks to the inhuman treatment meted out to him by Yarl's Wood healthcare centre. He is now a shadow of his old self. Another one has his hair falling out and is almost completely bald now. The rest are really traumatized and live in fear.
We are still waiting for the judicial review with so much anxiety and it's like being on death row. I can only hold onto God and trust Him to see us through.
Thank you all for standing by us, I pray that God meets you at your points of need."
Regards, Helen Laolu-Balogun

Guy Njike / Battling on
"Following the Home Office conceding the judicial review in the asylum case of Guy Njike, his solicitors are now submitting new material to the Home Office. Guy has now been in the UK nine years and claimed asylum from Cameroon on the day he arrived. We are asking our supporters to write letters of support to submit with the material which we have included on our blog at http://stopdeportationofguy.wordpress.com/ We would be really grateful if everyone would take a few minutes to write a letter in support of Guy."
Many thanks,
Kirrily, on behalf of the
Campaign to stop the deportation of Guy Njike
