At the bottom of the post is my original post which has of course been deleated by the Indy editors but the good news is that in addition to the bands listed below I have just had a phone call saying that that the people behind the Women Anarchist Nuisance Cafe which is an inspiring and original DIY underground womens cafe held in non commercial spaces have asked a series of bands to come along and play as well. This will be with an emphasis on performance, drag, burlesque, random happenings, conscious raising, qweer politics and lots of Fun.

Over the years an amazing community has grown and flourished through this cafe, and many awesome women have contributed in various ways. Friendships have been formed, networks forged, projects created.

The wanc Cafe provides a space to reclaim and weave our own cultural identities, recharge our batteries and lift our spirits. It is a cherished breathing space for the women who come .
